Nobody likes to talk about money. It’s not fun to ask for a contribution, hand-out, gift, donation. It doesn’t matter how we frame it, it’s still a little uncomfortable. We don’t want you to think we’re all about the money. We don’t want you to think we’re selfish. We worry that you’ll get the wrong impression about where our priorities lie.
But in spite of all of that we ask. We ask you to partner with Proverbs 31 Ministries because we have experienced first hand the joy that comes from impacting the lives of women with the truth of Jesus Christ. Through our daily on-line devotions read by more than 600,000 people across the world we remind a lonely mother of toddlers that she is not alone in her depression. We share the hope that Jesus offers.
Through on-line Bible Studies, we help the intimidated, new Christian discover that the Bible works, that the Holy Spirit speaks to her personally and practically.
By speaking at events across the country, we get to hold hands and pray with a single-Mom who just lost her job and fears failing her children. We get to cry with her and plead that the Lord will provide.
With our bookstore full of discipleship resources we get to help women overcome fear, embrace forgiveness, anticipate healing, persevere through trial and choose biblical confidence.
On a more personal, slightly more selfish note, Proverbs 31 blesses me. On those days when I feel like a failure (which is often) I am reminded that I did make a difference today. Ministry happens in spite of my failures. I am not disqualified. I am a part of a bigger story-His story. I am a part of a team-this team. I am not in ministry alone. We do this together. We are better together.
We ask for your support because we want you to feel this same hope, this same encouragement, this same joy. You can share part of our joy and celebrate our ministry milestones.
Be in ministry. Be in ministry with Proverbs 31. Join us on the front lines.
